I am the son of first-, second-, and third-generation immigrants. Originally from Long Island, New York, I grew up in Terrytown, Louisiana and High Point, North Carolina. Proud husband and father of a recently born baby boy.

Outside of work, when I have time I garden, jog, cycle, game, cook, read, and pick up new things whenever I can. With a kid, hobbies are a bit more challenging.

When I realized I couldn't grow up to be Steve Irwin and save the planet, I got into tech because I wanted to build things to solve actual problems for real people. With over 14 years of experience, I have developed (and maintained) backend systems, improved developer experience, and provided modern test engineering solutions in various roles across a multitude of domains and technology stacks. Recently, I have focused more on working with business stakeholders, leading development teams across two value streams.

I believe software engineering is both an art and a science. And I believe AI agents prove that coding was never the hard part. The hard part was understanding the domain well enough to design a system to properly support it.

In this blog, I write about software engineering with a focus on developer experience, agentic development, testing engineering, platform engineering, and aligning technology solutions with business needs.
